Treatment Centres
- Remove water bottle and pour away water (if applicable)
- Refit water bottle and run 3-in-1 Syringe and Handpiece lines until all water vapour is removed.
- Remove all debris filters from Suction/Bowls/Spittoon filters and throughly clean. Lubricate any seals/o-rings with silicon grease (not vaseline) and leave out of unit.
- Turn off mains water in floor box (not always possible if cover is screwed down).
Suction Units
- Run your aspirator cleaner through system.
- Run 2 litres of warm water through system afterwards and allow suction to run for 2 minutes to clear lines.
- Remove debris filter for motor and thoroughly clean – lubricate any seals/o-rings with silicon grease (not vaseline) and leave out of unit.
- Remove Amalgam pot – Empty contents into collection drum – clean and leave off unit – lubricate any seals/o-rings.
- Turn power off to compressor and unplug (if possible).
Compressor
- Drain any filters that are attached to air line leading from compressor.
- Turn power off to compressor and unplug (if possible).
- Drain/blow down the air reciever – usually a tap underneath.
- Check pressure gauges is reading Zero.
Autoclaves
- Drain down clean and dirty water reservoirs.
- Wipe down inside of chamber with a clean damp lint-free cloth (no detergents).
- Wipe down and clean door seal with a clean damp lint-free cloth (no detergents).
- Leave chamber door open.
- Turn power off to compressor and unplug (if possible).
Washer/Disinfectors
- Remove any detergent hoses form bottles and put into a jug of hot but not boiling water.
- Run 2 or 3 full cycles.
- After last cycle wipe all surfaces with a clean damp lint-free cloth (no detergent).
- Leave door open.
- Turn water and power off to compressor and unplug (if possible).
